Athletics tracks in Ulricehamn

Ulricehamns Friidrottsklubb is the small association with big ambitions. They have the goal of building a track and field facility and see that this would lead to a real boost for both the association and the municipality. To find out if this is possible and how it should be done, they have now been granted support for a feasibility study. 

The aim of the feasibility study is, among other things, to:

• listen to needs and wishes regarding the project through conversations and surveys with different target groups
• create a clear anchoring with Ulricehamn Municipality and other interested parties
• conduct study visits to other associations that have made similar efforts
• develop a good cost basis for future construction
• Prepare drawings for how the athletics facility can be designed in the best way.

The board's decision justification

A feasibility study that can create a new meeting place where many different groups can participate in both the development, the activities and future offerings. The reference groups will be present throughout the feasibility study to take into account multiple perspectives, e.g. children and young people, the elderly, people with disabilities and environmental considerations.
