Big or small project?
With us, it is possible to apply for support to implement both large and small initiatives. The type of support that is appropriate to apply for is determined by othe scope and focus of the idea.
Big project
Is your investment extensive? By large projects we mean projects with a total budget of approximately SEK 100,000 and upwards. If you are seeking support to implement such a project, the following applies:
- The project idea should fit within one of our areas of intervention.
- The application is made digitally in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's e-service.
- The applicant must contribute with volunteer work or their own funds.
- Decisions are made on an ongoing basis by our board. If approved, the Swedish Board of Agriculture must also make a formal decision, which takes about 8 months – sometimes longer.
There is generally no limit to how much Leader support you can apply for. Two exceptions:
- Is it a project in the focus area? Meeting places, activities and networks then the maximum amount is 400,000 SEK.
- For project support to companies, the maximum amount is SEK 300,000.
Smaller projects
Micro-support is a good option for smaller initiatives that do not require a large budget. Micro-support means less administration and faster decisions.
- The project idea must be in line with the focus of the micro-support.
- Applications are made using forms available here on our website.
- The applicant must contribute with volunteer work or their own funds.
- Decisions are made on an ongoing basis at board and executive meetings. A formal decision by the Swedish Board of Agriculture is not required.
Conditions and support vary, but often the maximum micro support to apply for is
SEK 50,000.
