Crane for log house construction

In Bollebygd, Manfred Nilsson wants to develop his work with log houses and recycling. For several years, he has built and renovated smaller log houses on a small scale, but now he wants to take the next step. Through the project Crane for log house construction, he is therefore creating better conditions for larger construction projects, courses in carpentry and new services linked to rental.

Today, many of the heavy tasks in the business are done by hand or with the help of a tractor. That's why Manfred wants to invest in a construction crane that makes the work both safer and more sustainable. At the same time, the crane opens up more opportunities to preserve, move and restore older log houses, buildings that would otherwise risk being empty or falling into disrepair.

The project also includes developing a course outline and conducting a first test course in dismantling log houses. The course is aimed at people who want to learn more about logging, recycling and building maintenance. Over three days, participants will get to try out planning, marking out and dismantling older log houses together with others who share the same interest. In addition, the course will give participants a greater understanding of how older buildings can be used instead of being demolished.

The first course is planned as a test course with four participants. The participants will take the course free of charge but will also undertake to evaluate the structure so that the content can be further developed for future training courses in carpentry and building maintenance. In this way, the project wants to create a stable foundation for continued course activities.

There is also a strong hope that the project will lead to new services and increased employment in the company. At the same time, Manfred wants to contribute to increased interest in preserving and reusing older log houses.
