Life and movement in Länghem
The project is part of a larger initiative that Länghems IF is running, but this includes both an outdoor gym and a motor skating track.
About the project
The project "Life and movement in Länghem" will contribute to the sports ground in Länghem becoming a welcoming and varied activity center for all ages and ambition levels. Within the framework of the project, Länghems IF is building an outdoor gym and a motor skating track. The motor skating track will consist of ten stations and the outdoor gym of seven, all in order to offer varied training for the whole body.
Before the project ends, the association will also organize an opening where there will be an opportunity to try out both the gym and the motor skating track, and a couple of test evenings with an instructor will also be offered.
Part of a larger whole
The outdoor gym and motor skills track are independent, but for Länghems IF they are part of a larger initiative that the association is working to realize. By seeking financial support from several actors, it is hoped that in the long term other parts such as a paddle court, multi-arena and obstacle course will also be built.
The board's decision justification
After the application and presentation in the LAG, as well as an interview with the applicant, the scoring in the selection criteria has shown that the project is well in line with the strategy. The project contributes to increased public health and develops the existing meeting place to include more than the association's original target group.
