Trails and paths

Sjömarkens IF completed in this initiative the last section of a path that connects Sjömarken and Borås. The project included the creation of maps, signs, and the construction of a grill area and boardwalk.

Grow for diversity

The purpose of the Tranemo cultivation association is to jointly manage and cultivate land that Tranemo municipality provides. The cultivation should be a social meeting place where people from different backgrounds can meet and learn from each other, but as the association is completely newly started, there was a lack of equipment to get started. Therefore, tools, benches, materials for a tool shed, a notice board, and fertilizer were purchased for the cultivation in this initiative.

Ballasjön bathing area – an attractive meeting place for everyone

Ballasjön is a popular bathing lake and a beloved gathering place for children and youth in Bollebygd. In this sub-project, Ballasjön's Fish Conservation Area Association invested in restoring the grill area adjacent to the bathing area. They also took the opportunity to create more seating, something that many had requested.

Welcoming community center, meeting place for everyone

Kalvs community center wanted to invest in making the community center more attractive and welcoming. As part of this, they purchased new chairs suitable for both parties and meetings. In addition, they invited to a gathering with activities, entertainment, and refreshments for the local residents.

Decorative paintings in Sjötofta

Sjötofta local heritage association has in this sub-project trained ambassadors in the art of decorative painting who can now pass on the knowledge. The project included study visits in Södra Unnaryd and Håcksvik, as well as documenting different parts of Sjötofta parish with the help of paint, canvas, and brush.

The forest garden Uddebotaniska

In this initiative, a pedagogical forest garden has been established in connection with the playground Småfolket. The forest garden will be open to everyone and there is a greenhouse dome on site. The garden contributes to the theme “Where food comes from” and the idea is to show how both Swedish classics and some more unusual plants such as peanuts, capers, and sugarcane grow.

Community facility Skogsbygden IF

Skogsbygden IF aims for the sports facility to become an attractive meeting place – where there is something for all ages. A sandbox and a bench were included in the project to contribute to this, as well as to prepare a place for coffee and meetings in the clubhouse. 

In the footsteps of the weaver

The company Förläggargården Kronäng wanted to initiate reasons for visits in the footsteps of the weaver through this initiative, with connections to textiles, culture, and publishing houses. In the project, marketing materials, exhibition materials, and maps have been developed. Additionally, guided tours and activities have been prepared. 

Kindaholmstomter

The four village associations of Kindaholm, Ö Frölunda, Håcksvik, Mårdaklev, and Kalv are experiencing a high demand for houses, farms, and land for construction. The countryside is trending and more residents lead to positive development for the area. In this initiative, they jointly advertised plots in Kindaholm – both digitally and in lifestyle magazines. A website was also launched. 

Gathering place at the heritage site

In this initiative, Vårgårda heritage association established a gathering place for grilling with two benches at Tumberg's heritage site. The place will complement other activities that are open to everyone, such as quiz walks and sing-along evenings.

4H Horse for everyone

In this initiative, Tånga heds 4H farm purchased a pony with a saddle to offer children and adults with disabilities the opportunity to try riding. Try-out sessions have been offered in connection with Children's Day in April 2023. Prior to that, the pony was trained to be safe and stable.

Gathering place at Bollevi

Hestrafors IF has a football facility at Brandshed in Bollebygd. They are also responsible for a fitness trail with lighting, an outdoor gym, and for a part of the Sjuhäradsleden that passes the facility. This sub-project consisted of, as a complement to these parts, creating a meeting place with picnic tables and a grill. The initiative also included an inauguration with sausage offerings that the association is responsible for.

Cultural heritage in Hov's parish

Hiking trails in Fotskäl

In Fotskäl, there is a basis for four hiking trails of varying lengths. Along the trails, there are several viewpoints, plant diversity, traces of the inland ice, and many historical sites with both ancient and contemporary history. This is what Fotskäl's Local History Society wanted more people to experience. In this sub-project, they have therefore made more viewpoints accessible, constructed new boardwalks, markings, and information boards.

Public grill area with wind protection

In Sandhult, Gårdsarenan has its operations, and the area has beautiful natural landscapes. In this sub-project, they invested in establishing a meeting place with wind protection and grilling opportunities. The hope is to motivate more people to come to Sandhult to discover the beautiful walking paths.

From trash to book

The Adult Education Association has a creative workshop that occasionally results in a lot of paper waste. In this initiative, they wanted to make use of the waste, produce their own paper, and then print and bind books. This was done in various workshops, study circles, and meetings in the Adult Education Association's premises located in central Bollebygd.
