Töllsjö Multigolf Course

This is the project with a focus on movement, activity and public health! Töllsjö IF is investing in building a multi-golf course with the aim of broadening the range of activities in the town. The course will consist of six holes and each hole will include three different disciplines – disc golf, park golf and football golf. As a player, you will go three laps on the course, one for each discipline.

There is broad support behind the project. Local businesses have shown great interest and have discussed various options in consultation with landowners to offer activities in connection with conferences, for example. There is also an established collaboration with the school that will be able to use the course. The course will be created with the help of two disc golf park designers who have together designed over 100 courses around Sweden. In addition, the project is contributing with non-profit forces in the form of construction work to get the course in place.

The association hopes that the multi-golf course will attract many people, both residents of Töllsjö and visitors. Since the course contains several disciplines, the conditions for even matches between the participants are good - if you are good at one discipline, another may not be a favorite. When the course is in place, it will be inaugurated with a trial play where the winner will get to name one of the holes on the course.

The board's decision justification

The project scores high points because it is well-established, involves all sectors and has a high implementation capacity. In addition, the project is innovative, inclusive and long-term and the project group testifies to strong non-profit forces that come together to realize ideas. They protect the local associations and private companies but also work actively to welcome other "outsiders" to take part in the multi-golf course. Initiatives to strengthen public health contribute to social sustainability and working for biodiversity in connection with the facility are also positive.
