Töllsjö Multigolf Course

Töllsjö IF has through the project established Töllsjö Multigolf Course, which was inaugurated in August 2024. The course combines three different activities – disc golf, park golf, and football golf – and has become a new meeting place for both locals and visitors. Since the inauguration, it has been used several days a week by people of various ages and has also attracted individuals who were previously not engaged in the association's regular sports.

A large local engagement has contributed to realizing the investment. A total of 562 volunteer work hours have been spent on, among other things, land work, paths, teeing areas, baskets, signage, and other parts of the facility. Companies and other local actors have also contributed with materials, machines, and transportation.

The course has already had effects outside the association's own activities. It has attracted long-distance players and companies have used it for, among other things, events, after work, and team building. The course is open around the clock and children and youth play for free. To ensure long-term operation, Töllsjö IF is planning a special section for maintenance and development, and the association assesses that the course's low operating costs mean it can become self-sustaining.

The board's decision justification

The project scores high points because it is well-established, involves all sectors and has a high implementation capacity. In addition, the project is innovative, inclusive and long-term and the project group testifies to strong non-profit forces that come together to realize ideas. They protect the local associations and private companies but also work actively to welcome other "outsiders" to take part in the multi-golf course. Initiatives to strengthen public health contribute to social sustainability and working for biodiversity in connection with the facility are also positive.
